A seminar was organized by Pak Friends Austria (PFA) on August 5 at 6:30 pm in Pragar Strasse (78) 21 District to show solidarity with Kashmiris against the abolition of Jammu and Kashmir’s special status. The event was attended by the Pakistani community from Salzburg, Lens, Stirmark, Graz. The ceremony was attended by Amir Saeed, Acting Ambassador of the Embassy of Pakistan in Vienna, as well as representatives of the embassy staff and the international community.
The ceremony started with the recitation of Holy Quran by Hafiz Syyab Idrees and Rana Idrees was blessed to recite Naat Sharif. The duties of the directorate were performed by Dr. Mazhar. Allama Ghulam Mustafa Baloch, President of Pak Friends Austria, Prof. Shaukat Musarat Aiwan, Chaudhry Asad Abbas and representatives of the international community spoke on the atrocities committed against the Kashmiri people. In addition to representatives of immigrants, Austrian citizens also attended the event. Condemning the Indian atrocities, the speakers paid tribute to the Kashmiri people who are fighting valiantly and making great sacrifices for independence. He called on the international community to raise its voice in support of the people of Occupied Kashmir whose rights have been denied by the United Nations and to condemn the decades-long barbaric occupation by India which Speaking on the occasion, Acting Ambassador of Pakistan Embassy Vienna D.H.M Amir Saeed said in his address that the Hindu extremist government of India is pursuing a fascist agenda through policies. The aim is to transform occupied Kashmir from a Muslim-majority state to a Hindu-majority state. It has to eliminate its separate identity. He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to provide all diplomatic, political and moral support to the people of Occupied Kashmir. He also referred to India’s conflicting policies which posed a serious threat to peace and stability in South Asia. At the end of the ceremony, special prayers will be offered for the independence of Kashmiri brothers and for the stability of Pakistan. Allama Ghulam Mustafa Baloch, President of Pak Friends Austria, thanked all the participants and Acting Ambassador Amir Saeed for attending the event.
