Austria (Muhammad Amir Siddique). A ceremony was held at the Pakistan Embassy in Vienna on Thursday, August 5, at 4 pm on the occasion of Kashmir Exploitation Day. The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Hafiz Sayab Idrees. The duties of the directorate were performed by First Secretary Liaqat Waraich. Hayat Mahindi, Ex Ambassador of Pakistan to Austria, Prof. Shaukat Musarat Aiwan, Chaudhry Asad Abbas and Khurram Iftikhar spoke on the atrocities committed against the Kashmiri people. In addition to representatives of immigrants, Austrian citizens also attended the event.
Condemning the Indian atrocities, the speakers paid tribute to the Kashmiri people who are fighting valiantly and making great sacrifices for independence. He called on the international community to raise its voice in support of the people of Occupied Kashmir whose rights have been denied by the United Nations and condemned the decades-long barbaric occupation by India which Claims the greatest democracy. Speaking on the occasion, D.H.M Amir Saeed, Officer, Pakistan Embassy, Vienna, also read out special messages from the President of Pakistan, Mr. Arif Alvi, and the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mr. Imran Khan. The agenda is to transform occupied Kashmir from a Muslim-majority state to a Hindu-majority state. It has to eliminate its separate identity. He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to provide all diplomatic, political and moral support to the people of Occupied Kashmir. He also referred to India’s conflicting policies which posed a serious threat to peace and stability in South Asia. At the end of the ceremony, special prayers will be offered for the independence of Kashmiri brothers and for the stability of Pakistan.
