japan( Tokyo) The Tokyo Metropolitan Government says it confirmed 614 new cases of the coronavirus on Sunday.
The figure is up 96 from a week ago, marking a week-on-week increase for 22 straight days.
The seven-day average number of new infections through Sunday is 733.9. That increased 26.1 percent from a week ago.
The total tally of cases in the capital now stands at 181,638.
