Japan(Tokyo) The Tokyo Olympic organizing committee has announced that 24 people related to the Games tested positive for the coronavirus on Thursday.
The committee says the figure includes three athletes from overseas who are staying at the Athletes’ Village.
They also include six Games officials. One from abroad is staying at the Village and the five others are not.
The committee says 15 contract workers are also infected.
Thursday’s tally is the highest since July 1, when the committee began announcing case numbers. It brings the total number of cases related to the Games to 193.
