Australian athletes are under fire for damaging their rooms at the Olympic Village in Tokyo and being drunk and rowdy on their flight home.
The Australian Olympic Committee said some drunken Australian athletes last week damaged the cardboard beds in their rooms and put a hole in a wall.
Team Australia chief Ian Chesterman on Tuesday called their behavior unacceptable. But he said the damage was minor and no disciplinary action would be taken as the athletes had apologized.
The committee also said some Australian rugby and football players engaged in excessive drinking and caused problems on their flight home from Japan on July 30.
The governing bodies, Rugby Australia and Football Australia, have apologized and launched investigations into the behavior of the players.
