Austria (Muhammad Amir Saddique) A column of smoke over Favoriten was seen from afar on Monday. In the late afternoon, the warehouse of a waste paper disposal company on Triester Strasse caught fire. The fire brigade moved out with seven vehicles and around 30 people.
The fire was fought with several extinguishing lines. At around 6 p.m., the immediate danger could be averted, said fire department spokesman Christian Feiler. But they were still busy fighting embers in the pressed bales of cardboard and waste paper. According to ÖBB, train traffic was not affected. The cause of the fire at the site of the paper recycling company is still unclear. The company has announced a statement on the fire.
