The Tokyo Metropolitan Government says it confirmed 23 new cases of the coronavirus on Saturday.
The daily tally is down nine from a week ago, and has been below 50 for 14 straight days.
Tokyo officials say the number of seriously ill patients was 14, the same as Friday.
They also confirmed five deaths from the virus.
