KARACHI – Foreign exchange rates in local market showed mixed movement, with major global currencies trading at varied levels against the Pakistani rupee.
US Dollar was being bought at Rs281 and sold at Rs283.10. Euro stood at Rs329.50 on buying side and Rs332.50 on selling side, while UK pound sterling was traded at Rs376 for buying and Rs379.50 for selling.
UAE dirham was quoted at Rs76.35 for buying and Rs77.35 for selling. Saudi riyal was traded at Rs74.85 on the buying side and Rs75.35 on the selling side. Other Middle Eastern currencies also remained firm, with the Kuwaiti dinar trading at Rs911.15 for buying and Rs921.15 for selling, while the Omani riyal stood at Rs728.10 and Rs738.10, respectively.
Australian Dollar was available at Rs184 for buying and Rs188 for selling, while Canadian dollar traded at Rs202 and Rs204.85. Chinese yuan was quoted at Rs39.39 for buying and Rs39.79 for selling, and the Japanese yen stood at Rs1.79 and Rs1.88.
