ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) has declined to disclose the confidential clinical contents of a medical report prepared after former prime minister Imran Khan was brought to the hospital for medical examination and treatment.
In a press release issued on Saturday, PIMS said Khan was brought to the Islamabad hospital during the intervening night of August 20 and 21, 2026.
The hospital said that, as part of the examination, two specialists from Shifa International Hospital participated in the ophthalmological assessment, while other examinations were conducted by the relevant PIMS specialists.
According to PIMS, the clinical input from the ophthalmological assessment was considered alongside the findings of investigations carried out at the hospital.
A medical board comprising PIMS doctors subsequently consolidated the medical fitness report, the hospital said.
PIMS, however, said it would not disclose the confidential clinical contents of the report.
“In keeping with patient privacy and the directions of the Honorable Supreme Court of Pakistan,” the hospital said, it would not disclose the confidential clinical contents of the medical report.
The hospital did not provide further details about Khan’s medical findings or the contents of the medical fitness report.
