LAHORE – Lahore’s Shafiqabad police have arrested a man after a video allegedly showing him engaging in obscene acts at a mobile phone shop went viral on social media.
According to a spokesperson for the Deputy Inspector General of Operations, the suspect was arrested following an incident reported at a mobile shop in Karim Park Bazaar. The suspect was identified as Ahsan Ali.
Police took immediate notice of the viral video and arrested the suspect. Legal proceedings are being initiated against him in accordance with the law.
The DIG Operations spokesperson said obscene acts in public places would not be tolerated and that police were taking prompt action on complaints from citizens and incidents reported on social media.
