The 62-year-old local man and his 55-year-old Filipino wife were arrested for manufacturing fake Chrome Hearts rings.
Police estimate the criminal duo raked in approximately 100 million yen by selling these high-end counterfeits online.
The illegal production line was hidden inside a factory in Kofu City where foreign workers were employed.
Three Filipino men working at the site have also been sent to prosecutors for their role in the scam.
Authorities were alerted to the scheme after an officer noticed suspicious luxury items being sold on the internet.
Investigations reveal the group has likely been deceiving buyers and profiting from these fakes for over three years.
The husband has confessed to the crimes as police look deeper into the involvement of other foreign associates.
