Research website Our World in Data said 7 billion doses of coronavirus vaccines had been administered around the world as of Friday.
The website is run by researchers, including those at Britain’s University of Oxford.
According to the site, the latest global coronavirus vaccination figures exclude data from countries and territories where details cannot be confirmed.
The site said 49.3 percent of the world’s population have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, and 38.3 percent have been fully vaccinated.
It said 24 million doses are administered globally each day.
However, the site noted that only 3.5 percent of people in low-income countries have received at least one dose.
