SWAT – Tremors were felt in Swat and surrounding areas, according to the Seismic Monitoring Centre in Islamabad, causing panic among residents.
The earthquake measured 4.4 on the Richter scale, with a depth of 105 kilometres.
Its epicentre was in the Hindu Kush mountain range.
No loss of life or damage has been reported so far.
