Austria (Muhammad Amir Siddique)Chamber of Commerce boss Harald Mahrer has proposed a 100 euro vaccination voucher for young people under 25 years of age. Night gastronomy spokesman Stefan Ratzenberger welcomes the proposal. Harald Mahrer, President of the Chamber of Commerce (WKO), suggested offering young people under the age of 25 a 100 euro voucher for a vaccination. According to Mahrer’s idea, the voucher should be redeemable for night-time restaurants, cinemas or major events such as concerts. Stefan Ratzenberger, spokesman for the Night Gastronomy Association, welcomes the move. It still has to be clarified who should pay this voucher, says Ratzenberger to the Ö1 “Journal at 8” . Basically, however, every incentive that is created is a good one. The federal government is cautious. Vaccination incentives are constantly being discussed, according to the Ministry of Health. However, there are currently no concrete plans for vouchers or payments.
