KARACHI – In the qualifier of Pakistan Super League Season 11, Peshawar Zalmi defeated Islamabad United by 70 runs to secure a place in the final.
Playing at National Bank Stadium, Islamabad United were bowled out for 151 runs while chasing a challenging 222-run target.
For Islamabad United, Sameer Minhas top-scored with 44 runs, while Mohsin Riaz made 25, Imad Wasim scored 22, and Devon Conway contributed 20.
For Peshawar Zalmi, Aaron Hardie starred with the ball, taking 3 wickets, while Mohammad Basit and Sufiyan Muqeem claimed two wickets each.
Earlier, batting first, Peshawar Zalmi posted 221/7 in 20 overs, powered by a magnificent 103-run innings from captain Babar Azam, supported by Kusal Mendis (41) and Mohammad Haris (35).
For Islamabad United, captain Shadab Khan took 3 wickets, while Richard Gleeson picked up 2 wickets.
