KARACHI – Air connectivity between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia is set to expand as Fly Jinnah prepares to introduce a new direct flight service between Karachi and Riyadh.
The private airline is scheduled to commence operations on the Karachi-Riyadh route on September 18, initially offering three non-stop flights every week. The service is then planned to expand to a daily schedule from October, giving passengers more flexibility and increasing the number of travel options available between the two destinations.
Karachi-Riyadh service is part of Fly Jinnah’s broader plans to grow its international network. By adding Riyadh to its direct international connections, the airline aims to strengthen air links between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia while providing another option for passengers traveling between the two countries.
The planned increase from three weekly flights to daily operations is expected to significantly improve connectivity. Passengers will have more flexibility when choosing their travel dates, particularly those traveling for employment, business, family visits, tourism or religious purposes.
Pakistani travelers regularly travel to the kingdom for pilgrimage, employment, family visits, business and tourism, making Saudi routes an important part of Pakistan’s international aviation network.
Major Pakistani cities, including Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad, already have direct air connections with key Saudi destinations such as Riyadh, Jeddah, Madinah and Dammam. The expansion of services is expected to provide passengers with additional choices while supporting stronger links between the two countries.
Fly Jinnah’s planned Karachi-Riyadh launch comes as Saudi Arabia’s Riyadh Air is also expanding its presence in Pakistan. Riyadh Air began its Pakistani operations with daily flights between Riyadh and Islamabad from August 14. The airline subsequently added three weekly flights between Riyadh and Lahore from August 18.
The entry and expansion of airlines on these routes are increasing the number of available travel options between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
