japan (Tokyo) The Tokyo Metropolitan Government says it confirmed 950 new cases of coronavirus infection in the capital on Saturday.
The daily tally is up 234 from a week ago, marking a week-on-week increase for 21 consecutive days.
The seven-day average number of cases up to Saturday stands at 720.1, or 27.9 percent higher than the figure for the previous week.
The cumulative number of confirmed infections in Tokyo now stands at 181,024.
