LAHORE – A young motorcyclist died after allegedly sustaining critical injuries due to the negligence of a traffic warden in the provincial capital, while CCTV footage of the incident has also surfaced.
According to the footage, a traffic warden in the Shadman area suddenly ran towards the motorcycle in an apparent attempt to stop the rider.
The motorcyclist’s head struck the warden, causing him to lose control of the bike and crash into the pavement.
The rider, identified as Zain, suffered serious injuries and remained under treatment at Services Hospital for five days before succumbing to his injuries.
Following the emergence of the CCTV footage, calls have been made for an investigation to determine responsibility for the incident and establish the circumstances that led to the young man’s death.
