Peshawar ( Khalid khan ). A Lifetime of Excellence Honored with Pride of Performance. Shahid Zaman Khan has once again brought pride to the nation as he receives the prestigious Pride of Performance award from the President of Pakistan in collaboration with Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on August 14, 2025,

marking a defining and historic moment in his life and career. For Shahid Zaman Khan, this honor represents far more than recognition—it is a powerful acknowledgment of decades of relentless dedication, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to representing Pakistan on the global squash stage. Expressing deep emotion, he stated that this award is not only a personal milestone but a tribute to his family and to the country he has proudly served throughout his journey,

emphasizing that being honored on Pakistan’s Independence Day makes the moment even more meaningful and unforgettable. With a professional career spanning over 16 years, Shahid Zaman Khan competed at the highest levels of international squash, playing a crucial role in strengthening Pakistan’s presence in Asian and South Asian Championships during challenging times for the sport, standing firm as a true ambassador when the nation needed representation the most. Beyond his achievements as a player, he has built an extraordinary legacy as a coach and mentor, dedicating the past 16 years in Boston to the development of squash at both elite and grassroots levels, becoming the first Pakistani to work with world-renowned academic institutions such as Harvard Business School, Boston University, and Wellesley College, a milestone that not only reflects his personal excellence but also elevates Pakistan’s image on an international platform. Despite his success abroad, his heart has remained deeply connected to Pakistan, consistently investing his time, knowledge, and resources into nurturing young talent, training top players free of cost to ensure that financial barriers do not limit potential, and taking extraordinary steps to uplift underprivileged communities. In Quetta, Balochistan, he organized six junior squash tournaments exclusively for underprivileged children, creating opportunities where none existed before, and in a historic and unprecedented initiative for the region,

he personally donated squash rackets and high-value equipment, laying the foundation for future champions and reviving hope in an area long overlooked in the sport. Receiving the Pride of Performance award has further strengthened his determination, as he reaffirmed his commitment to serve Pakistan on an even bigger platform in the coming years, declaring that the time has come to rebuild, reinvest, and restore Pakistan’s lost dominance in world squash through dedication, structure, and belief in the next generation. Today, Shahid Zaman Khan stands not just as a decorated athlete but as a symbol of national pride, a driving force for change, and a man on a mission to bring Pakistan back to the pinnacle of international squash, proving that true greatness lies not only in personal achievements but in the ability to inspire, uplift, and serve one’s nation with honor and purpose.
