Pakistan’s Usman Chand and Imam Haroon made the country proud as they took silver and bronze medals at the Asian Shotgun Grand Prix 2025 in Kuwait on Friday.
The duo was competing in skeet event.
Pakistan was fielding three shooters.
Farrukh Nadeem was also hoping for a podium finish,but he lost shoot off tie to become a finalist after having a equal score in the sixth place, according to the details shared by the National Rifle Association of Pakistan.
“This result of this competition is the only one thing real hard work as a team players and the management for the last 5 years in the last Olympic Qualification World Cup both performances were excellent Specially Usman Chand miss the Olympic Quota at the last station by only one points,” the National Rifle Association of Pakistan Secretary General Razi Ahmed Khan told The Express Tribune.
Usman has been a seasoned shooter as he has represented Pakistan at the World Championships in 2023, 2022, 2019, and 2018, previously.
Meanwhile, the 21-year-old Imam competed at the World Champions in 2023 and also attempted at the Olympic qualification in 2024.
He was a part of the Asian Championship 2025 squad as well.
