DUBAI – In the second match of the Asia Cup T20, India won the toss against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and opted to field.
At the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Indian cricket team captain Shubman Gill won the toss and invited UAE to bat first.
Shubman Gill is making his T20 return as vice-captain. In the recent IPL season, he scored 650 runs at a strike rate of 155.87, and he is expected to deliver an impressive performance in the Asia Cup as well.
On the other hand, UAE’s coach Lal Chand Rajput is of Indian origin and had played a key role in leading India to victory in the 2007 T20 World Cup.
It is worth noting that in the Asia Cup opener yesterday, Afghanistan defeated Hong Kong by 94 runs.
