ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has postponed tomorrow’s (Oct 15) protest at D-Chowk.
According to media reports, the decision to postpone the protest was made during PTI’s political committee meeting, where the majority favored calling off the protest.
The protest was postponed in the broader national interest in light of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit.
The government has accepted PTI’s condition to postpone the protest, and doctors will examine Imran Khan tomorrow.
PTI’s senior leadership will officially announce the postponement soon.
Earlier, PTI had announced a protest at D-Chowk on October 15, coinciding with the SCO summit, with a condition that if PTI’s founder was allowed a meeting, the protest would be canceled.
The government has agreed to PTI’s condition. The government is ready for Imran Khan’s medical examination, and doctors from PIMS hospital will examine PTI’s founder at Adiala Jail tomorrow morning.
Additionally, his personal doctor has been granted permission to meet and examine him.
